The T9384 is the newest member of the renowned DV+ range by GFB (Go Fast Bits), engineered as a direct drop-in replacement for the OEM diverter valves found in late-model Ford vehicles.
Unlike earlier Pierburg valves, the newer Continental-branded OEM diverter valves are sealed units that cannot be modified for use in a DV+. To solve this, GFB designed the T9384 with a low-profile integrated solenoid, offering a complete replacement for both Continental and Pierburg units—ensuring an easy installation without clearance issues.

Boost Holding Improvements
Since the introduction of electronic diverter valves in the mid-2000s, OEM designs have undergone numerous updates to improve reliability. However, their plastic construction and operational limitations continue to hinder performance.
During testing of the OEM diverter valve on a 2.3L Ecoboost Bronco, GFB engineers discovered substantial leakage—far worse than previous models. This issue arises from the trend of remotely mounting diverter valves on plastic intercooler piping, leading to poor sealing between plastic components.
Even with a Viton-faced piston seal, the uneven plastic seat surface caused significant leakage—up to 28L/min at 1 Bar. The T9384 solves this with a machined integral piston seat that ensures a proper seal, even on imperfect OEM surfaces.
Sharper Throttle Response & Faster Boost Recovery
Factory electronic diverter valves operate in a simple open/close (binary) manner, which doesn’t match the nuances of real throttle input. This results in abrupt changes in power, hurting throttle feel.
The DV+ features a unique “pilot actuation” system, allowing for progressive piston movement. This smooths power delivery during throttle modulation and dramatically improves responsiveness.
