GFB T9220 Hybrid Dual Outlet Blow-Off Valve – Toyota, Subaru & Mazda Turbo Models
Adjustable Blow-Off Sound with Controlled Boost Release
Many turbocharged vehicles rely on a recirculating bypass valve to protect the turbocharger during throttle lift. However, when drivers want more audible blow-off sound, fully atmospheric valves can introduce drivability issues such as hesitation or stalling, especially on airflow-metered systems.
The GFB T9220 Hybrid Dual Outlet Valve is engineered to solve this problem by combining recirculation and atmosphere venting in a single, staged valve.
Hybrid Dual Outlet Design
The T9220 uses a dual-outlet configuration where the recirculation port opens first, followed by the atmosphere port. This staged operation helps reduce the rich conditions commonly caused when metered air is vented directly to atmosphere, making it a practical solution for vehicles that need to retain good drivability.
Configurable Venting Options
- Full recirculation for factory-style quiet operation
- 50/50 recirculation and atmosphere for balanced sound and response
- Full atmosphere venting for maximum blow-off sound
Key Benefits
- Adjustable sound level without sacrificing boost control
- Staged venting to help reduce stalling and hesitation
- Improved throttle response compared to ageing factory valves
- Suitable for stock or modified turbo setups
- Durable construction for high-heat turbo environments
Proven GFB Valve Design
Built using GFB’s proven valve architecture and quality materials, the T9220 is designed to withstand repeated heat cycles and sustained boost pressure, making it a reliable upgrade for performance-oriented turbo applications.
