Adjustable Internal Wastegate Actuator for Mitsubishi EVO IX

The GFB WGA 7302 Internal Wastegate Actuator is engineered to improve boost control on the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX 2005–2007. Many factory actuators can struggle to maintain stable boost levels under load, particularly in performance driving. The WGA addresses these limitations with a more capable design.

Improved Boost Control

By using a significantly larger diaphragm area and reinforced assembly, the WGA actuator offers greater authority over the wastegate flap. This helps prevent exhaust backpressure from prematurely opening the wastegate, resulting in more stable and reliable boost control.

Adjustable Preload & Spring Options

The actuator is supplied with three springs and unique turnbuckle pre-load adjustment. This enables quick, on-vehicle adjustments to the base boost pressure without removing the actuator. The factory-installed 10psi and 7psi springs give a ~17psi base setting, and the included 5psi spring allows tuning refinement or lower base pressures.

Direct Bolt-On Installation

Designed to replace the factory actuator with no fabrication or modification required, the WGA 7302 mounts into the original actuator location on EVO IX models with the factory turbo.

Tuning Required

Although this is a physical bolt-on component, it functions as a tuning tool. It will increase boost pressure, therefore ECU tuning is required to ensure safe and reliable operation.
