High-Performance Internal Wastegate Actuator for WRX TD04 Applications

The GFB WGA is engineered to improve boost control on turbo systems that use an internal wastegate. With a significantly larger effective diaphragm area than many factory actuators, it has more control over the wastegate flap, helping resist exhaust backpressure that can force the wastegate open during spool-up and at higher RPM.

Improves Boost Stability and Response

When factory actuators become the limiting factor, you can see symptoms like boost drop-off at high RPM, an unstable boost curve, or difficulty reaching target boost even with electronic boost control. The WGA is designed to reduce these issues and support higher, more stable boost.

Adjustable Springs + Turnbuckle Preload

The WGA 7304 is supplied with three springs and a turnbuckle pre-load adjustment so you can set the base boost pressure quickly and accurately. Base boost can be configured from 5psi to 24psi.

Factory Spring Setup

GFB supplies the actuator with the 5psi and 7psi springs installed for a 12psi base pressure, and includes the 10psi spring in the box for additional tuning options.

Longer Stroke, More Adjustment

The WGA 7304 is described as having a longer stroke, shorter height, and greater adjustability than comparable actuators, giving more flexibility when setting up boost control.

Tuning Required

Although this is a mechanical bolt-on component, it functions as a tuning tool. Installation will increase boost pressure, therefore ECU tuning is required.
