RNS 510 firmware update and Touareg reversing-camera patch

The following firmware improves functionality, such as FM Radio Text, and stability of the RNS 510. However, as it was compiled after the Touareg ceased using the RNS 510, it no longer supports the Touareg reversing-camera module correctly. As a result, the software load can make the reversing camera highly intermittent. The gateway patch below addresses this issue.

Step 1: Firmware update

Load: AU_FW_5238_90_5_5.iso

This is a modified version of firmware 5238 which will load on all hardware versions up to C12.

Step 2: Touareg reversing-camera gateway patch

Load: 2850_gw_all.iso

This firmware gateway patch corrects reversing-camera issues with Touareg RNS 510 units after firmware version 2850. Firmware downgrades must be enabled on the target RNS 510 using VCDS or equivalent for this patch to load.

Step 3: Recovery following a failed software load

The Software Load Failure FIX CD is used to recover from a failed software load (SWL) on the RNS 510.
