As a young mechanic starting my career at a dealership, I was ingrained with the belief that the manufacturer's way was the only correct way. This early experience left me with the impression that tuning was a dubious endeavor that could potentially damage the engine.
However, after switching careers and immersing myself in the world of vehicle modification and tuning, my perspective underwent a remarkable transformation. Now, I'm convinced that tuning is the way to go, and I'd recommend it over keeping a vehicle stock any day. In the two and a half years I've been in the industry, I've yet to encounter a single complaint of engine failure or damage. In my view, the real engine killer, aside from poor service history, is often the standard mapping set by the manufacturer.
