GFB DV+ T9357 is a direct-fit performance diverter valve upgrade for select BMW turbocharged engines. It retains factory ECU control while solving common boost leak and throttle response issues found in OEM diverter valves.
Suits BMW turbocharged petrol engines fitted with an electronic factory diverter valve, including N20 and N55B30T0. Retains the OEM solenoid and ECU control. Not suitable for pneumatic diverter valve systems.
Note (N20 engine): Access to the factory diverter is extremely tight. Installation of the DV+ usually requires loosening of the turbo manifold to gain access to the diverter valve.

Modern BMW turbo engines rely heavily on electronically controlled diverter valves, but the factory units often compromise performance due to plastic internals and a binary open/closed operating method. The GFB DV+ T9357 is engineered to address these weaknesses while retaining full factory ECU control.
Rather than replacing the entire diverter valve assembly, the DV+ upgrades the internal valve mechanism using precision-machined metal components and a robust sealing system. This allows the valve to hold boost more reliably, particularly under increased load or modified boost levels.
Sharper Throttle Response & Faster Boost Recovery
The factory BMW diverter valve operates in a simple on/off manner, which can lead to inconsistent boost delivery during partial throttle inputs. The DV+ utilises GFB’s proven pilot-actuation system, allowing the valve to respond progressively to boost pressure. The result is smoother throttle modulation and quicker boost recovery between gear shifts.

High under-bonnet temperatures and elevated boost levels can cause premature failure of OEM plastic diverter valves. The DV+ T9357 replaces these vulnerable components with durable metal internals and a high-quality sealing surface designed to perform reliably in demanding conditions.
