Factory & Dealer-Level Diagnostics for Trade Workshops

Bring genuine manufacturer-level diagnostic capability into your own workshop.
Euro Car Upgrades helps Australian independent workshops establish factory diagnostic systems from the manufacturer application through to a working, tested system. We can assist with workshop registration and approval, supply the correct diagnostic laptop or rugged tablet and vehicle interface, configure the manufacturer software and authorised online access, test the completed system and train your technicians to use it.
Whether you want Volkswagen Group ODIS, Mercedes-Benz XENTRY, Porsche PIWIS, BMW ISTA, Volvo VIDA or Land Rover TOPIx diagnostics, we can build the package around your workshop and the brands you actually work on.

From Manufacturer Approval to a Working Diagnostic System
1. Manufacturer Approval
We help your business through the registration and approval process required for the selected vehicle manufacturer.
This can include business registration requirements, identity and security verification, D-U-N-S registration where required, supporting documents, user-account setup and communication with the manufacturer or its Australian representative.
2. Hardware, Software & Online Access
We establish the diagnostic platform your workshop needs and can supply the appropriate laptop, rugged tablet, diagnostic interface and accessories.
The supported manufacturer diagnostic software is installed and configured together with the approved online access available to your workshop.
3. Configuration, Testing & Training
We complete the initial system configuration, login and connection testing before handover.
Practical technician training can cover vehicle identification, guided diagnostics, coding, programming, control-unit replacement and the authorised online functions available through the selected platform.
Factory Diagnostic Systems by Vehicle Manufacturer
Select a vehicle manufacturer below to see the factory diagnostic platform and workshop setup options available.
Each manufacturer operates its own diagnostic platform, registration process, hardware requirements, security approvals, subscriptions and online-access system. We therefore quote each complete workshop package individually rather than trying to force every manufacturer into one generic diagnostic solution.

Factory Diagnostic Equipment for Professional Workshops
Some workshops already have the manufacturer registration and online access they need and simply want the correct diagnostic hardware. Others want Euro Car Upgrades to establish the complete system from workshop application through to technician training.
Our Factory Diagnostics range includes prepared diagnostic laptops, rugged tablets, VAS interfaces and manufacturer-specific diagnostic equipment for professional European vehicle workshops.
What Factory Diagnostics Add to Your Workshop
Professional aftermarket diagnostic equipment remains valuable for everyday diagnosis, servicing and specialist work. Factory systems add the manufacturer-specific procedures and authenticated online services required when a workshop needs to go beyond those capabilities.
- Manufacturer guided fault finding
- Factory diagnostic procedures and test plans
- Control-unit identification and live data
- Basic settings and adaptations
- Control-unit coding and parameterisation
- Software programming and updates
- New control-unit commissioning
- Manufacturer online services
- Security-related functions where authorised
- Component-protection procedures where supported
- Key and immobiliser functions where authorised
- Brand-specific diagnostic and repair functions
The exact functions available depend on the manufacturer, vehicle, diagnostic platform, workshop approval level and purchased manufacturer subscription or access.
How We Set Up Your Workshop
1. Choose the Manufacturer
Tell us which vehicle brand you want to add and what diagnostic capability you already have.
2. We Establish the Requirements
We confirm the current manufacturer registration requirements, required documentation, diagnostic hardware, software, interfaces, subscriptions and security-access requirements.
3. We Quote the Complete Package
You receive a workshop-specific quotation covering the manufacturer application, equipment, configuration and training required.
4. 50% Deposit Starts the Process
A 50% deposit is payable when the quotation is accepted. We then begin the manufacturer registration and approval process and work with you to obtain the required documentation.
5. Approval, Configuration & Testing
After manufacturer approval, the remaining balance is invoiced. We then complete the diagnostic-system configuration, authorised access setup and testing.
6. Technician Training
Practical training can be included so your technicians can start working with the new platform rather than being handed a diagnostic computer and left to work it out themselves.
What Does Dealer-Level Diagnostic Access Cost?
There is no useful single price because the manufacturers operate very differently.
The equipment already available in our Factory Diagnostics category provides a useful indication of the hardware investment. Manufacturer registration, subscriptions, security access, diagnostic interfaces, software licensing, training and other requirements are then quoted according to the selected brand.
You can therefore buy diagnostic hardware directly from us or have Euro Car Upgrades build the complete workshop package.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this service only for trade workshops?
Yes. Manufacturer-level workshop registration and authorised online diagnostic access are intended for eligible automotive businesses. Our setup service is designed for independent workshops, automotive electricians, diagnostic specialists and other eligible trade businesses.
Which factory diagnostic systems can you help us set up?
We can assist with manufacturer diagnostic systems including Volkswagen Group ODIS, Mercedes-Benz XENTRY, Porsche PIWIS, BMW Group ISTA, Volvo VIDA and Land Rover TOPIx diagnostics, together with the applicable diagnostic hardware and manufacturer-access requirements.
Which vehicle manufacturers do you support?
We can assist with diagnostic equipment and manufacturer-access setup for Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda, CUPRA, Bentley, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, BMW, Rolls-Royce, Volvo and Land Rover.
Do you handle the manufacturer application for us?
Yes. This is a major part of the complete workshop package. We guide your business through the relevant manufacturer process and assist with the required business documents, identity or security requirements, registration steps and manufacturer communication.
Are you just installing diagnostic software, or can you help with genuine manufacturer online access?
Our complete workshop packages are designed around establishing the legitimate manufacturer access available to an eligible independent workshop rather than simply installing diagnostic software on a laptop. The exact online functions and approvals depend on the selected manufacturer and workshop.
What documents will our workshop need?
The requirements vary by manufacturer. Depending on the selected brand, this can include a valid ABN, business documents, authorised-user identification, security verification, a criminal history check and a D-U-N-S number. We establish the current requirements for your selected manufacturer and guide you through them.
How does payment work?
A 50% deposit is payable when you accept the workshop package quotation. The remaining balance is invoiced after the manufacturer has approved the application.
What happens if the manufacturer declines our application?
If the manufacturer declines the workshop application, the package deposit paid to Euro Car Upgrades is refunded in full.
Can you guarantee manufacturer approval?
No company outside the vehicle manufacturer can make the final approval decision. We prepare the application correctly and assist throughout the process, but final approval remains with the selected manufacturer.
How long does manufacturer approval take?
Timeframes vary by manufacturer and by how quickly the required documentation is supplied. Volkswagen Group ODIS / GeKo registration, for example, has typically taken approximately 2–4 weeks once the deposit and complete workshop documentation have been received. We will provide the current expected timeframe for the selected brand.
Can we buy the diagnostic laptop or interface without the complete setup service?
Yes. If your workshop already has the required manufacturer access, you can purchase suitable diagnostic hardware directly from our Factory Diagnostics range.
Will the diagnostic software already be installed?
Where the package includes a prepared diagnostic computer, we install and configure the appropriate supported diagnostic software, complete the initial setup and test the system before handover.
Do manufacturer subscriptions or online access cost extra?
Often, yes. Diagnostic hardware, manufacturer registration and ongoing online access are not necessarily the same purchase. Manufacturers may use subscriptions, licences, access periods or other charging structures. We establish these costs when preparing your workshop package.
Can you train our technicians?
Yes. Practical training can be included. It can cover platform navigation, vehicle identification, guided diagnostics, control-unit functions, coding and programming procedures and the correct use of authorised manufacturer online access.
Can our workshop establish factory diagnostics for several brands?
Yes. We can build a multi-brand factory diagnostic capability over time. Each manufacturer has its own registration, hardware, software and access requirements, so we plan and quote each platform separately.
Is ODIS the same type of tool as OBDeleven or VAG CAN PRO?
No. They serve different levels of Volkswagen Group diagnostic work. OBDeleven is primarily suited to owners and enthusiasts, VAG CAN PRO is a powerful specialist VAG diagnostic and programming platform, while ODIS is the Volkswagen Group factory diagnostic environment. See our OBDeleven vs VAG CAN PRO vs ODIS guide for the full comparison.
