Many BMW and Fiat turbocharged engines use electronically controlled factory diverter valves with plastic internal components that can struggle to seal boost pressure reliably. Over time, this can lead to boost leaks, inconsistent throttle response, and reduced performance.

The GFB DV+ T9356 is engineered to address these issues by upgrading the internal valve mechanism while retaining the factory solenoid and ECU control strategy. Rather than replacing the entire diverter valve assembly, the DV+ replaces the weak internal components with precision-machined metal parts and an improved sealing system.

Improved Throttle Response and Boost Control

Factory diverter valves typically operate in a simple open or closed manner, which can result in abrupt boost changes during partial throttle inputs or gear shifts. The DV+ uses GFB’s proven pilot-actuation system, allowing the valve to respond progressively to boost pressure.
