Diagnostics on issues for COMMAND Online NTG 4.5 Mercedes Navigation Systems.

Scope of Service

1. Comand does not turn on completely.

There is no response to the power button and the screen is black. There is silence in the speakers.

2. The radio navigation is reset to the logo.

After turning the key, you see the Mercedes logo, then the equipment turns off and on automatically. The cyclic reset takes place all the time.

3. The system freezes and does not respond

Theoretically, everything works, but Comand can hang from time to time and not respond to buttons.

4. No sound in the car.

The fault manifests itself in total silence at each of the sources. You can forget about listening to your favorite radio station.

5. Crackling noise in the speakers.

Characteristic troublesome knocking resembling shooting with a rifle. The problem appears immediately or some time after starting up.

6. The equipment is after flooding / moisture.

The water inside the device can mess up a lot. You have to be careful because corrosion is progressing at an express pace.

7. CD / DVD cannot be read.

The drive cannot recognize the disc, it ejects itself. Additionally, it may happen that the plate gets stuck in the mechanism.

8. Map update stops at 97%.

When installing a new map, your Comand asks for DVD2 at 97%, after which the update stops completely.

9. Faulty hard drive.

Although the carrier used is in the automotive version and theoretically resistant to shocks - unfortunately it breaks down regularly.
