Volkswagen and Audi 3.0 TDI V6 EGR Blanking Plate
This EGR blanking plate closes the exhaust-gas passage at the matching EGR connection on compatible Volkswagen Amarok, Touareg and Audi 3.0 TDI V6 engines. It provides the physical barrier used as part of an off-road EGR delete installation.
The plate is supplied individually. It does not include coolant bypass components or replace the complete EGR valve and cooler assembly.
Complete the modification with ECU tuning
The plate handles the physical blanking, while the required ECU calibration addresses EGR operation and monitoring. Installing a plate without suitable calibration can trigger EGR-related fault codes, an engine warning light or limp mode.
If your vehicle still needs this calibration, select the mail-in ECU tuning option above when ordering. This service requires you to send your engine ECU to us. Customers who already have suitable EGR calibration can purchase the plate on its own.

Intake cleaning alongside the installation
Blanking the EGR passage does not remove soot and carbon already deposited in the intake manifold. Where deposits are restricting airflow, cleaning the intake can address that existing buildup.
Euro Car Electronics offers intake manifold cleaning, with ultrasonic cleaning available for suitable removed components. Request an intake cleaning assessment to arrange this alongside the work.

Installation and ECU tuning are not included in the plate price. The mail-in ECU tuning service is charged separately when selected.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need ECU tuning with this EGR blanking plate?
Yes. Suitable EGR calibration is required to complete the modification. If this has already been carried out, you can order the plate alone. Otherwise, add the mail-in ECU tuning service or arrange workshop installation and tuning through our online form.
How does the mail-in ECU tuning option work?
Select the ECU tuning option when ordering, then complete our online tuning form with your order number and vehicle details to arrange sending your engine ECU to us. This is a service performed on your supplied ECU.
Does this plate bypass the EGR cooler?
No. It blanks an exhaust-gas passage. It does not reroute coolant or isolate a leaking EGR cooler from the cooling system. Cooler removal or coolant bypass requires additional suitable hardware.
Will it remove existing carbon from the intake?
No. Existing deposits remain after installation. Intake manifold cleaning is a separate service and can be arranged where required.
