EGR Cooler Delete / Bypass Kit for Mazda BT-50 UN and Ford Ranger PJ / PK 3.0L and 2.5L diesel engines

This kit fits both manual and automatic transmission models. For automatic vehicles, an ECU remap is required to ensure proper function and avoid triggering warning lights or limp mode (we strongly advise to remap every vehicle with altered EGR system).

The kit includes everything you need to remove and bypass the factory EGR cooler, along with step-by-step instructions. Installation takes approximately two hours with standard mechanical tools and is suitable for both home and workshop fitment.

This kit disables EGR operation electronically without causing fault codes in manual transmission models. For automatic vehicles, ECU recalibration is necessary to disable the EGR system in software.

Complete the modification with ECU tuning

The plate handles the physical blanking, while the required ECU calibration addresses EGR operation and monitoring. Installing a plate without suitable calibration can trigger EGR-related fault codes, an engine warning light or limp mode.

If your vehicle still needs this calibration, select the mail-in ECU tuning option above when ordering. This service requires you to send your engine ECU to us. Customers who already have suitable EGR calibration can purchase the plate on its own.

Intake cleaning alongside the installation

Blanking the EGR passage does not remove soot and carbon already deposited in the intake manifold. Where deposits are restricting airflow, cleaning the intake can address that existing buildup.

Euro Car Electronics offers intake manifold cleaning, with ultrasonic cleaning available for suitable removed components. Request an intake cleaning assessment to arrange this alongside the work.

Installation and ECU tuning are not included in the plate price. The mail-in ECU tuning service is charged separately when selected.
