EGR Cooler Delete / Bypass Kit for Mitsubishi Triton ML and Pajero NS, NT, NW with 3.2L 4M41 diesel engines

This kit is designed to fit vehicles equipped with the 3.2L 4M41 engine only. Please refer to the product images to confirm compatibility.

All necessary parts and detailed instructions are included to remove and bypass the factory EGR cooler and piping. Installation typically takes a few hours using standard mechanical tools.

This kit electronically disables EGR operation without triggering fault codes or limp mode. The vehicle’s ECU continues to operate on factory settings with EGR mapped to 0%.

These models, especially the Triton ML and Pajero NS, are known for significant carbon buildup in the intake manifold—sometimes even inside the intercooler. We strongly recommend cleaning your intake system during installation to restore proper engine performance.

Complete the modification with ECU tuning

The plate handles the physical blanking, while the required ECU calibration addresses EGR operation and monitoring. Installing a plate without suitable calibration can trigger EGR-related fault codes, an engine warning light or limp mode.

If your vehicle still needs this calibration, select the mail-in ECU tuning option above when ordering. This service requires you to send your engine ECU to us. Customers who already have suitable EGR calibration can purchase the plate on its own.

Intake cleaning alongside the installation

Blanking the EGR passage does not remove soot and carbon already deposited in the intake manifold. Where deposits are restricting airflow, cleaning the intake can address that existing buildup.

Euro Car Electronics offers intake manifold cleaning, with ultrasonic cleaning available for suitable removed components. Request an intake cleaning assessment to arrange this alongside the work.

Installation and ECU tuning are not included in the plate price. The mail-in ECU tuning service is charged separately when selected.
