This kit is specifically designed for vehicles equipped with an EGR cooler located at the front of the engine and an EGR valve mounted to the intake manifold with four bolts. Installation typically takes a few hours with basic mechanical tools.

• Japan-built models (VIN starts with "JN1")

Complete the modification with ECU tuning

The plate handles the physical blanking, while the required ECU calibration addresses EGR operation and monitoring. Installing a plate without suitable calibration can trigger EGR-related fault codes, an engine warning light or limp mode.

If your vehicle still needs this calibration, select the mail-in ECU tuning option above when ordering. This service requires you to send your engine ECU to us. Customers who already have suitable EGR calibration can purchase the plate on its own.

Intake cleaning alongside the installation

Blanking the EGR passage does not remove soot and carbon already deposited in the intake manifold. Where deposits are restricting airflow, cleaning the intake can address that existing buildup.

Euro Car Electronics offers intake manifold cleaning, with ultrasonic cleaning available for suitable removed components. Request an intake cleaning assessment to arrange this alongside the work.

Installation and ECU tuning are not included in the plate price. The mail-in ECU tuning service is charged separately when selected.
