Toyota Hilux Prado D4D EGR Blanking Plate 1KD-FTV

Exhaust Gases Recirculation valve block off plate. This plate is used to prevent engine from stalling. EGR valve is often the cause of all sorts of problems with the engine including flooding the engine. It is a great idea to have the EGR blocked off and then removed with a Remap of your engine ECU. This means your engine works better and becomes cleaner. For this item to work correctly it is a requirement to have the vehicle remapped to delete the EGR out of Computer's brains. The tune deletes all the information about the EGR in your car. Your Ranger thinks it no longer has the EGR valve installed. Your Engine will last you longer due to less carbon built up on the intake. The EGR blanking plate for Hliux and Prado is not visible to the dealers when you fit it correctly so they will not be able to notice it.

NOTE: Please be aware that in most cars produced after 2000 you have to remap your ECU to switch off EGR valve, blanking it is only half of the process.
