VW Amarok 2.0 TDI EGR Cooler Delete and Bypass Kit
EGR cooler delete and coolant bypass kit for the Volkswagen Amarok 2.0 TDI. Includes intake and exhaust blanking plates, a coolant hose, couplings and clamps for the hardware side of an EGR cooler removal.

For Volkswagen Amarok 2.0 TDI models with the matching EGR cooler and coolant-hose arrangement. Reuse the original metal gaskets where serviceable; replace damaged gaskets. After installation, refill and bleed the cooling system as required, check for leaks and recheck the coolant level.

VW Amarok 2.0 TDI EGR Cooler Delete Kit
This kit combines EGR blanking plates with coolant bypass hardware for the Volkswagen Amarok 2.0 TDI. It provides the components needed to blank the intake and exhaust EGR connections and reroute coolant around the removed EGR cooler.
For an off-road EGR delete installation, the plates and coolant bypass address the hardware, while the ECU calibration completes the conversion.
What the kit does
- Closes the intake-side and exhaust-side EGR connections using two blanking plates.
- Provides a coolant hose and couplings to bypass the EGR cooler.
- Combines the blanking and coolant bypass components in one kit.
A blanking plate alone does not bypass the cooler's coolant circuit. This kit includes the additional hose, couplings and clamps required for that part of the installation.
Complete the installation with ECU tuning
The engine ECU must be recalibrated for the EGR modification. Fitting the hardware alone can leave EGR-related fault codes, an engine warning light or reduced-power operation.

Existing intake deposits
An EGR modification does not remove carbon already present in the intake manifold. If deposits are restricting airflow, intake cleaning can be arranged alongside the work. Request an intake cleaning assessment.

- 1 × Coolant hose.
- 2 × Coolant hose couplings.
- 2 × Hose clamps.
Gaskets are not included.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a single blanking plate or a cooler bypass kit?
This is a kit containing two EGR blanking plates plus a coolant hose, two couplings and two clamps. It includes hardware for both blanking the EGR connections and bypassing the cooler's coolant circuit.
Is ECU tuning included?
No. ECU tuning is required to complete the modification and is arranged separately. Euro Car Electronics can quote for installation and tuning together through the online tuning form.
Will this clean carbon from the intake manifold?
No. Existing soot and carbon deposits remain after the modification. Intake cleaning is a separate service that can be arranged if required.
Does this kit fit the Amarok 3.0 V6 TDI?
No. This listing is for the Amarok 2.0 TDI. The 3.0 V6 TDI uses different EGR hardware and requires a suitable kit for that engine.
