MQB Mk7 Platform EA288 1.6 & 2.0 TDI EGR Cooler Blanking / EGR Delete Kit

This kit allows the removal of the low‑pressure EGR valve and the EGR cooler water circuit on the MQB Mk7 platform with 1.6 or 2.0 litre TDI EA288 diesel engines. Designed for performance and reliability, the kit includes everything needed to bypass the factory EGR cooler and securely blank off the low‑pressure EGR valve — while the high pressure EGR valve remains installed and should be disabled via software/tune.

Kit Features:

  • Blanking plate for the low‑pressure EGR valve — no exhaust gases recirculated.
  • Stainless bypass pipe for the EGR cooler water connections.
  • High‑quality hardware and full installation components included.
  • Leaves the high pressure EGR valve in place — software tune recommended to disable it.

Key Notes:

  • Not recommended if the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is still fitted and functional in certain markets without appropriate software support.
  • Software tuning is strongly recommended to disable the high‑pressure EGR valve for full benefit.

Scope of delivery:

  • 1 x Low‑pressure EGR valve blanking plate
  • 1 x Stainless bypass water pipe for EGR cooler
  • Complete hardware and gaskets for installation
