GFB Performance Parts for European Turbo Cars
Go Fast Bits — better known as GFB — is an Australian performance brand specialising in turbo-management hardware. Although GFB is widely recognised for blow-off valves, its range also covers diverter valves, boost-control equipment, wastegate hardware, fuel-pressure regulators and related components for modified turbocharged vehicles.
Euro Car Upgrades now offers a selected GFB range focused on European performance cars. This includes products for supported Audi, Volkswagen, Škoda, Cupra, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Porsche, Volvo and other European applications, together with selected universal components relevant to properly planned turbo builds.
Rather than listing every GFB product made for every market, our range is focused on the components most relevant to European turbocharged vehicles.

Who GFB Performance Parts Are For
GFB products are suited to owners upgrading or maintaining turbocharged vehicles where the original boost-control hardware, diverter valve or supporting components may no longer be ideal for the intended setup.
Depending on the vehicle and product, the GFB range can help with:
- Diverter-valve sealing and operation on supported factory turbo systems
- Atmosphere-venting or adjustable blow-off-valve sound
- More consistent wastegate and boost control on suitable modified applications
- Fuel-pressure control in properly designed upgraded fuel systems
- Vehicle-specific fitment for selected European engines and turbo systems
Not every vehicle requires every type of upgrade. Product selection should be based on the exact engine, factory turbo system, current modifications and intended use.
Wastegates: Controlling Turbocharger Boost
The wastegate controls how much exhaust energy reaches the turbocharger turbine. As the wastegate opens, part of the exhaust flow bypasses the turbine, helping regulate turbocharger speed and boost pressure.
On modified vehicles, limitations in the original wastegate actuator or boost-control arrangement can become more noticeable. Depending on the turbo system, possible symptoms can include:
- Boost dropping at higher engine speeds
- An unstable boost curve
- Difficulty reaching the intended boost target
- Inconsistent control after turbo or exhaust changes
GFB manufactures internal wastegate actuators, external wastegates and boost-control components for suitable applications. Spring pressure, actuator travel, boost-control plumbing and ECU strategy must all be considered before changing wastegate hardware.
These are functional boost-control components rather than simple cosmetic bolt-ons. Incorrect selection or setup can cause unstable boost, overboost or poor turbocharger response.

Diverter Valves and Blow-Off Valves
A diverter or blow-off valve releases pressure from the intake system when the throttle closes. This helps prevent pressure from working back against the turbocharger compressor during gear changes or sudden throttle lift.
GFB offers several approaches depending on the vehicle and the result the owner wants.
Plumb-Back Diverter Valves
A plumb-back valve recirculates released air into the intake system. It is normally the quieter option and is primarily chosen for valve construction, sealing and response rather than additional sound.
Atmosphere-Venting Blow-Off Valves
Atmosphere-venting valves release some or all discharged air outside the intake system, creating the recognisable blow-off-valve sound. The final sound depends on the engine, boost pressure, valve and intake arrangement.
Adjustable Valves
Selected GFB valves allow the balance between recirculated and atmosphere-vented air to be adjusted, giving the owner more control over the sound and valve behaviour.
On selected European applications, GFB's DV+ range retains the factory electronic solenoid while replacing the original valve mechanism with machined metal components. Exact design and compatibility depend on the specific part number.

Fuel Management: Control for Modified Fuel Systems
As engine airflow and fuel demand increase, maintaining appropriate fuel pressure becomes an important part of the complete build.
GFB produces adjustable fuel-pressure regulators and related fittings for selected upgraded fuel systems. These components are generally intended for properly planned applications using compatible pumps, injectors, fuel rails, hoses and return-style fuel-system layouts.
A fuel-pressure regulator should be selected according to:
- Fuel type
- Expected fuel flow
- Required base pressure
- Boost-reference requirements
- Fuel-pump and injector capacity
- Port, hose and fitting compatibility
Installing an adjustable regulator does not automatically improve a standard fuel system. It needs to be part of a properly designed fuel-system upgrade and, where required, matched with the correct ECU calibration.

Do GFB Upgrades Require ECU Calibration?
It depends on which component is being installed and whether it changes the way the vehicle controls boost, airflow or fuel delivery.
A direct-fit diverter valve or blow-off valve designed for the specific vehicle does not automatically require an ECU remap. It should still be installed and adjusted according to the instructions for that part number.
ECU calibration may be required when the modification changes:
- Boost-pressure targets
- Wastegate spring pressure or actuator behaviour
- Boost-control solenoid operation
- Turbocharger airflow capability
- Fuel pressure or fuel-system layout
- Fuel-pump or injector capacity
Changing wastegate hardware, raising boost or modifying the fuel system without considering the existing ECU strategy can result in unstable boost, throttle intervention, fault codes or incorrect fuelling.
For more extensive turbo, boost-control or fuel-system modifications, the hardware and calibration should be planned together.
Why Choose GFB?
GFB has designed and manufactured turbo performance products in Australia since 1998. Its products are made in accordance with an ISO 9001 quality-management system.
For European vehicles, one of GFB's main strengths is its range of direct-fit products designed around the original electronic valve, solenoid or mounting arrangement used by the supported vehicle.
Depending on the specific product, this can include:
- Direct vehicle-specific fitment
- Retention of factory electronic control
- Machined metal valve components
- Adjustable recirculation and atmosphere venting
- Serviceable and replaceable components
- Application-specific adaptors and installation hardware
Check Compatibility Before Ordering
GFB produces many visually similar valves and components that use different solenoids, mounting arrangements, adaptors or internal configurations.
Before ordering, confirm:
- Vehicle make and model
- Generation and production year
- Engine code or engine family
- Turbocharger and factory valve arrangement
- Whether the product is plumb-back, atmosphere venting or adjustable
- Whether additional fittings or adaptors are required
Do not select a valve only because another vehicle uses a similar engine capacity or turbocharger.
